next release on Sanctus Propaganda: Flower/State Manufactured Terror - split LP

hell yes, next release on Polish label Sanctus Propaganda will be split LP with mighty Flower and State Manufactured Terror!!.. both represented with recordings from live session in Dobra studio from last year when they were on euro tour.. it will be already 4th record under this project between Sanctus Propaganda and Dobra studio, on previous sessions they had Infekcja, KMKZ and Disaffect and all releases were benefit for some good cause.. anyhow, it's interesting project that deserves some support..

do you know this feeling when walking on some muddy road and after your shoe get stuck in a big, wet and deep pile of mud and you step into it barefooted?! - it's ugly feeling, indeed.. and it's supposed to be a common accident in those rare moments when your drunk ass is trying to live healthy and be the one with the nature.. and if you didn't experienced such terrifying and obnoxious fail yet - just try this EP, it will give you pretty much the same feeling.. although I absolutely hate when I step into pile of mud with my fancy 10€ hiking socks, on the other hand I bloody like the ugliness of State Manufactured Terror.. damn, if there is some award contest for the ugliest crust punk record, they would definitely win it with this one! 

SMT are one of the newer bands in, as it seems currently pretty strong and alive, NYC's noisy crust punk swamp gathering around D4MT Labs studio and Peace of Mind records and they already shake the ground well in 2023 with their absolutely crazy (and even uglier) demo tape and during last summer while on a short trip in Europe where they were supporting mighty Flower on one part of their Euro tour.. 

on this record they continue in the same tone, bringing just little over 10 min of noisy crust punk madness, like a savage mashup of everything old and primeval in punk - there's this raw and primitive UK and euro inspired crust sound from late 80s and early 90s, there's grind, there's anarcho-punk, stench core elements, even american hardcore can be heard in traces, then occasionally everything flies into crasher crust waters with absolute madness and distortion, all together rounded with again ugly (on some parts dual) vocals shouted in this anarcho-styled way.. just imagine blend of Deviated Instinct or Hellbastard on one side with Destroy and ENT or even early Napalm Death on the other, spiced with anarcho scent of acts like Scatha, Antischism and Nausea and then for the end add few drops of Confuse just to make it more confusing (see what I did here!? hahah).. they even manage to blend in some media samples here and there which perfectly fits in songs.. and all that packed in 10 bloody minutes - although at the first it doesn't seems this way but at the end all together have perfect sense.. 

there are 3 songs on one and 2 on another side, which means pretty short trip in this sonic mess but it does leave some serious damage behind with its raw and violent production.. 

from the titles of the song and name of album (damn, and even from the band name) you can figure out about what they are lyrically dealing with, as expected themes and problems which are actual in US last couple of years and now with this MAGA madness, probably more than ever..

visually it looks similar as it sounds, obvious legacy from above mentioned bands is present in artwork also, it's chaotic but with a bunch of tiny details, all standard anarcho-punk imagery is here - celtic knots, doves, chaos symbol, witches, demons, skulls, hand written lyrics, etc. (similar like on Flower's EP for example), and all together it really looks great and transmits the whole vibe of extreme (noise not) music of the record itself very well.. also, inside is included really nice A4 poster with great artwork in the same style as on covers (hundreds of smaller drawings blended together creating the shape of dove).. it's worthy to mention that all this visual style is work of Wombat, who is the vocalist here if I'm not wrong..

and for the releasing of this little hell of the record is responsible international cooperation between Croatian label Autsajder Produkcija (sub-label of more known Doomtown Records) and Peace of Mind Records from US, it's released in all together 350 copies, my is in "swamp" green color but it also comes in regular black version and few copies are still available for the price of 9€ from Autsajder crew or I've seen it on some other distros as well, at least here in Europe..

there was also tape version of this available on Filth Holocaust Rec. from Indonesia but in some minimum print run which is most likely already sold out long ago..

in short, State Manufactured Terror are not here to please you or make you happy, they sound like they landed from some older times and they are here just to fck up things in this already fckd up and doomed world we live in..

hopefully they will continue to deliver the filth and I'm really looking forward to possible future full LP of this monster of a band.. until then I will torture my ears and brain with this little banger countless times more, that's for sure..

this 7inch nightmare will never end..

after good old cassettes, 7" vinyl is my favorite medium for punk records.. I mean all around them, from simplicity and in the same time endless creativity possibilities around covers, it's price (at least from some time ago, now they are also becoming hardly affordable), it's size and practicality, everything is perfect.. okay, if we are gonna be honest only the duration of the records which fits on this small piece of plastic is little problematic but again often I like my punk short and fast..

here are just some fresh beauties in my humble collection which landed in ..crucified freedom.. headquarters in last few months (or a year).. damn, I will go bankrupt..

Autsajder Produkcija is sub label of well known and established Doomtown Records from Zagreb focused mostly on tapes or 7" recordings of some less known or old bands..

now they have two great releases ready for pre-orders and I just can recommend both because they sound awesome and also looks great..

so 1st we have Krayat, some Balkan folks currently situated in Berlin, this is their 1st offering on vinyl and I can't wait to hear the whole thing from it because they have this very interesting dark sound, like mix of old ex-Yu hardcore from 80s and Greek crust punk from 90s.. awesome stuff.. I think this band deserve more recognition and support.. it's already available on youtube for streaming so hit your ears with some desperate filth there before ordering this..

"За закуска параноя, За вечеря какво?" or "For breakfast paranoia, for dinner what?" is the first vinyl offering by these four Balkan punx located in Berlin.
The bands' thrashing dark 'n' cold sound coming from the down under evoke the spirits of more metallic side of 80's Ljubljana hardcore bands but filled with Suomi HC darkness and the stamp of explosive power and epicness of traditional Greek and Bulgarian late 80's and 90's punk.
The record comes with two-sided risographed cover and screenprinted A3 poster. Available also on limited white vinyl.

and the other is from total maniacs from the States, which I discovered recently while exploring something more about fertile and awesome New York's diy punk crust scene.. after explosive demo tape released on great Peace of Mind records this will be their first proper release and it will be killer, you can already check it on youtube just to make sure.. they play this totally insane and hard to describe mix of everything, I already tried to describe them in one of previous posts here or just read what crew from Autsajder Produkcija write about them below..

"The US Government is a Kleptocratic Doomsday Cult" is the first vinyl offering by this relatively new NYC noisy crust punk unit that, to this ears, delivered one of the most powerful releases of 2023. in the form of their debut demo tape.

What we have here is ten minutes of noise not music extravaganza, and if you can imagine the manic grinding rawness of NAPALM DEATH '85-'86 demos mashed up with R'N'R Conformity phase of DEVIATED INSTINCT, you might be on the right track to illustrate the sound and politics of State Manufactured Terror. Featuring members of Pobreza Mental, Headsplitters and Porvenir Oscuro.

The release is limited to 350 copies, 250 on black and 100 on swamp green vinyl. Each copy include two-sided risographed cover and risographed A4 poster.

hell yes, some news for the most anticipated crust tour this summer in Europe, amazing anarcho crust punk band Flower will be accompanied by their fellow citizens State Manufactured Terror just for first 8 days of the tour which will start in Berlin on 23th August after the tour kick off show in New York City.. 

it seems they still need help for the 11th September somewhere around Netherlands/Denmark so if you can help try to get in touch with them or Sanctus Propaganda..

Peace Of Mind records is fresh diy label from New York, USA led by crew from amazing Flower, with few more than interesting releases they put out recently.. except Flower's recent EP on vinyl which was made in collaboration with european label Fight For Your Mind, they released 3 diy cassettes with to me until now totally unknown and as it seems newer bands, all 3 pretty chaotic, raw and original and those are demos from State Manufactured Terror (already mentioned here), than another crazy chaos crust outfit Witness and last and something "easier" Love And Compassion but don't let this "easier" fool you, it's still about some hell of dirty and raw crusty anarcho hardcore punk.. 

some records are already sold out and some probably still available for fair prices, so if you are (un)lucky enough to live in the States contact them and support their work and effort with buying some of the stuff..

okay, this one is still far away but it's probably the most interesting tour this summer.. two hell of a bands from New York (USA), most likely once in a lifetime opportunity for most of us here in Europe to see.. there are still few dates for which they need help so you know what to do.. and don't miss them when they will be close to your place because once you'll be old and they both considered legendary bands you'll be very sorry you didn't take your chance.. anarcho crust punk to the maximum..

I stumbled upon this band while exploring current vivid crust punk scene in USA by watching various live videos at youtube of bands such as Lifeless Dark, Innocent, Flower, Physique, Tower 7 and the likes which all are awesome and interesting and this one is...well, they just hit different.. but still awesome.. it's like totally chaotic crust mixed with anarcho punk from 80s/90s, like weird blend of early Deviated Instinct and Scatcha (just look artworks on cover for demo or banners at some live videos) meets Antischism and Destroy with some American hardcore from the 80s added just to bring more confusion, weird, right?!..  they sounds like they landed in 2023 from some older times, they sounds like they don't give a fck about playing, they are here just to destroy and fck things up.. and I like it.. it seems live shows are also hellish and I will sure try to explore more about them and their possibly future work..
