ADVERSITY #7, #8 fanzine

Adversity was fanzine from US and it was published in period between 1989 - 1993 and all together, as it seems, 8 issues were made.. one of the authors was John Krupa from legendary State Of Fear and Deformed Conscience.. I don't exactly remember where I found and from where I downloaded this two numbers but the other day I found pdf files on my hard drive and decided to re-upload them again and write a few words about them here.. there is short story about this zine and interview with Dropdead from 7th issue published on mighty Brob Tilt's zine world and that's probably how I found about it in the first place..

so, #7 is visually very attractive with a lot of great artwork all around and it's made of course in good old black/white cut and paste technique.. there are interviews with Oi Polloi, Misery, No Security, Subvert and with already above mentioned Dropdead.. and from other content which is actually more interesting you can read few articles in a form of columns, Greece and Australia scene reports, some poems and inevitable for that time short zine/music reviews.. all together around 30 pages which maybe seems little but it's quite enough material for reading..

#8 was made during 1993 and looks like it has been copied on some yellow/brown paper (maybe recycled or just those scans looks like this) and although is made in same or similar style and technique as previous issue, this one kind of transmits some Profane Existence vibes, first from visual but also from content side of view.. from interviews, in this number are represented Disaffect, Chaos UK, Rupture and Hellkrusher, also there are few articles on anarcho topics, to me the most interesting is the one about political situation in Croatia, then there are some about squatting, political prisoners, etc.. also you can read something about the scenes in West Pennsylvania and UK.. and for the end again those standard short zine and record reviews and this part is from today's perspective also fun to read because it's bloody interesting what folks thought and wrote about all those records and zines which were actual and released then and nowadays almost all are hardcore punk/crust classics..
anyhow, Adversity was one really good fanzine and great example of diy creativity of that time so I'm glad I found those scans and thanks goes to anyone who preserved this..
some scans of number #5 from 1990 can also be found online at Send Back My Stamps! so be sure to check out that one also (Disrupt interview included, among other interesting stuff)
