Okov is diy hardcore punk band based in Zagreb more or less active for a while already (if I'm not wrong they started during covid pandemic) but maybe not so known and represented because they didn't have any official recordings until now, they just occasionally appeared with some live shows at local diy places.. just when I started to forget about them, like a nice surprise last month they published debut album on their bandcamp page and recently did mini tour across Croatia together with Koridor, where both were promoting their new recordings..
although we can consider them fresh band, its members are old wolves and familiar faces on domestic diy scene here, some of them present since the 90s and were active or still are in countless number of bands (Vaseline Children, Disbaja, Arm 2 Arm, The Pathetics, Senata Fox, Outre...and many, many more, list will be really too long)..
musically we can describe them exactly like a good mix of their old bands, now more skillful with playing their instruments, creating blend of engaged old school hardcore punk, d-beat influenced with slight touch of r'n'r, combining both American and Swedish school of hardcore..
this will be out soon in physical format as well, probably on vinyl, don't have info in which format and on which label, but you'll be informed on time.. until then go check it online.. favorite songs: Nitkov and Slijepi Vode Slijepe..
