this is a hell of a year so far when it's about touring bands here in European wasteland, isn't it!?.. after Generation Decline, Savageheads, Hellshock, Primer Regimen, just to name it few which were crossing through Croatia but I'm sure I forgot some more, another one "across the ocean" band is coming in Europe to spread the chaos, mighty Canadian crust stechers Warkrusher.. if you ask me, one of the best "newer" bands in the genre in last couple of years.. damn, I have to start going on gigs again..
and just to mention, awesome (as always) artwork for the poster is made by Steve of War..

MAZUT live @ Podrum, Rijeka 05.05.2023. - video + new videos on rijekadiyhcpunk dailymotion page
Mazut is fresh d-beat crust band from Pula, Croatia, to me personally refreshment on domestic diy punk scene, I like the fact they use even 3 different vocals.. sound of bass, lead vocal and lyrics reminds me of their fellow citizens cult Nulla Osta, but still they have doze of originality, at least that much how it's possible at all when we talk about d-beat band, to be completely honest.. anyway, from the 3 trax demo published on bandcamp in April this year and this video it seems they have some potential and could be good.. video is from their show in Podrum from May when there was 15th anniversary celebration..
I found this at rijekadiyhcpunk dailymotion page where some fresh videos are uploaded again after some time of un-activity so be sure to check others as well.. the ones from Crua, AK-47, Dismenol and The Truth are highly recommended but you'll see for yourself..

KLÄPTRÄP - Songs About Wrongs
new interesting band on the UK/Germany relation with Stick (Doom) and Stef (VOW) among others with their first recordings named "Songs About Wrongs".. primitive and raw to the bone anarcho-punk crust with great dirty and angry m/f vocals.. I feel some Excrement Of War meets Axegrinder meets Nausea dirtiness in the core, mostly in something faster tone, combine that with your favorite local drunk and sloppy anarcho crust band from 90s era and you get Kläpträp.. awesome.. those 12 songs were recorded in "See you in Disneyland Studios" in Germany and will supposedly be available on tapes soon.. I hope I will have chance to grab one somewhere because I can bet it will sound even better on a cassette.. until then enjoy in it on bandcamp..

Featuring current and former members of various Boston bands, Isolant have resurrected the "industrial crust" sub-genre from the dead. Taking influences from Godflesh, Pitchshifter, Coil and mixing it with a thick late 1980s UK crust influence of bands like Deviated Instinct, this EP represents a resurrection of the long dead style. From selecting an IBM Selectric font for the back cover text to retain the feel of the time period, to using Pantone spot-ink printing to achieve that '80s hue, to the skillful mastering of Carl Saff for maximum loudness, no detail was spared in the process of making this EP and capturing the spirit of the industrial crust style.

I just can't believe that the band like Savageheads will come to Europe and not to mention in Croatia and Zagreb.. when I 1st time saw gig poster for Zagreb's show I thought it's some kind of joke or it's poster for more possible US gig.. if you already don't know it's about one of the hottest acts on dangerously hot diy hc punk scene in Boston nowadays, they sure raise some damn serious dust with new or actually first full album called "Service To Your Country" released by the end of last year on Social Napalm (and sold out in the speed of light in only few days), 9 or so years after their debut demo and one s/t 7" EP (released on Doomtown Records from Zagreb, btw).. some repress of this punk masterpiece is mentioned on Social Napalm pages if I get it right, maybe available for euro tour, who knows.. anyhow, don't miss them in one of those cities if you have a chance, because they are awesome and energetic live according to some videos from yt and I'm pretty sure this is once in a lifetime opportunity for us europeans..
as it's obviously from this blog, I'm more into crust or raw d-beat punk, but since the 1st time I heard Savageheads I felt this primal and true essence and spirit of punk and if I must choose my "ordinary" punk band (without serious tendencies towards crust) then I choose Savageheads!..
