yes, something is definitely happening on Croatian fanzine scene!.. in last 10 years or so there was only two 'zines (both by one author) which were coming out more or less regularly with only few of them popping out here and there, mostly with one number.. and now there are some 8 - 10 of them active and that's just great.. hope this will become tradition and that we will have more and more of them soon.. another great thing is that not only people who was doing 'zines before are doing them now but also some new, young people as it is case with this one;
Čebula comes from Sinj but the author currently lives in Zagreb.. it has 84 pages on A5 format with just beautiful artwork on front cover.. it's written on Croatian and from content here are: The Truth euro tour report (it seems like they were only arguing and fighting on this tour), an interview with Ugly Fucks, few words about summer festivals and about all the craziness that comes with them, some personal texts about emotions, love, sexism, etc., 'zine reviews, a lot of very good artwork and for the end part which is/will evoke many reactions - Teta Mileva's corner in which author write short and sarcastic lines about people from hc punk scene and about the scene itself in form of questions and answers..
everything is written on some strange chaotic way/style like author is under the influence of something, hehe, but I think I like her style and looking forward to see new numbers coming..
at the end this is actually pretty good fanzine, in my opinion the only disadvantages of it are almost the same stuff and themes as it is in IOSC #16 but they both came out in almost the same time and the authors of those 'zines are friends and are spending time together so it was expected in some way.. the fact that I've read them both at the same time is also maybe a reason for noticing this by me.. and the other thing is that everything could easily fit on less pages.. everything other is good, especially if you consider that this is 1st issue..
price is 5 kn or donation, not really sure and for all other info write to author at following e-mail address..
