just some stuff from Phobia Records distro..

two new gems in my humble collection landed from Phobia R. distro few days ago.. one is real d-beat classic by one of the pioneers of Discharge worshiping sound if not the first one ever, short lived band (or more like side project by MOB47 members) from Sweden nammed Discard - probably the best dis-name in particular noise universe still untill today after milion other derivatives.. "Death From Above" was their EP originally released back in 1990, later re-released 2 times, first in Germany in 2001 and later in 2015 on Czech label Insane Society Records and this is from where copy of mine comes from.. it has a really beautiful covers and here I don't mean on picture which is horrible but the way it's made (hand screen-printed) and folded..

and the other is most likely the future classic, new and probably the last album by awesome NYC's raw and crusty hardcore punks Subversive Rite which was released just few months ago on US label Acute Noise Manufacture.. this one comes with lyrics on inlay and giant poster on thinn, newspaper-like kind of paper.. and I must mention, the sound on this one is monstrous, incredibly mighty and good, I got chills every time I play it, so despite it was little pricy it was worth it!..

SKORUP/A - Last? - new LP is out now + promo tour

new album by Polish best kept crust secret is out on NIC Records and D.I.Y. Kolo Records as LP, available on limited white vinyl and regular black version.. and great news for everyone who aren't vinyl lovers or can't afford them, this release is also available on CD and tape from the same labels..

I don't now why but I have this feeling that this band is flying low under the most of crust radars, especially outside of their closest surroundings (Poland and Czech R.) but mine super highly calibrated spotted them shortly after they first time appeared somewhere around 2020 with their first galloping and energetic demo album and I'm following their work since then.. they are also pretty active with playing live and they already have quite amount of gigs under their belts, including appearances on festivals like O.E.F. for example..

on the new album named "Last?" they offer 10 new songs in even faster and more furious style than on previous releases and with probably tightest production so far.. most of the time ultra fast d-beat hammering with brutal dual vocals screaming on their native language, even on a few slower parts or during the refrains they are spicing things up with some kind of gang vocals, riffs are simple but contagious and all is wrapped with perfectly loud and strong bass sound.. in short they didn't reinvent the wheel with this record but they have this classic 90s east european crusty sound of which I'm a big fan, so if you know what I'm talking about I just can't recommend this enough.. cover art is also beautiful and I like the fact that on every release so far they had some forest related theme drawn on their covers..

and for the end, below is the poster with dates and places where they will promote new album with live shows in next few months, all over Poland and in few cities in Czech R. so if you are there support them, I heard some rumors that they are even better and more energetic live than on their records..

LOŠ PRIMJER - Uzmi Slobode - new single and video is online!

hell yeah, first single "Uzmi Slobode" from upcoming new album by melodic punks (but with their dark souls buried deep down in metal and crust) from Požega is online and available on bandcamp and on youtube as video clip.. again very catchy song on the first, with strong and moving lyrics, just as we are used to from them.. can't wait to hear full album and let's just hope we won't wait for vinyl release another 10 years, haha..

LOŠ PRIMJER - Puls Univerzuma - new album will be out soon!!

if you're regular visitor here at crucified freedom, you are already familiar with Loš Primjer, a little different band than all other usual kind of noise here..

last few months those melodic metal punks were working on a new album.. as it seems recordings are done or close to an end, 1st single is ready and will be premiered on their youtube channel in form of a new video clip this Tuesday (16.09. at 18:00 PM).. I heard some tiny fragments of few new songs while they were posting the news from recording sessions on socials and I can tell you, all sound interesting and very promising, even there will be included cover of one old song from ex-yu rock band Indexi and this will probably be blast, if you were on their latest gigs (on SAWA fest for example) you have already had opportunity to hear it live.. the whole album should be out in next few months in digital form but there is some vinyl in plan as well (knowing them, it could be released by the end of this year or easily after some 10, like it was the case with previous album)..

as it seems crew from U.B.T. will get well deserved first vinyl release on French label Kill Ugly Pop.. I don't have any additional info about this one, I don't know with which material and if it will be in EP or LP format.. when I found out, you will be noticed..

24/24 / STRAGE DI STATO - split 7" will be out soon!!

also my favorite Hungarian punks 24/24 will also appear on vinyl for the first time.. after two excellent demo tapes they will release split 7" with raw punk band from Brno called Strage Di Stato who cherish fast and uncompromising, old school style of punk, it means very similar as fellow Hungarians so it seems that this will be one little hell of a split.. 24/24 will be represented with a material from "A Terv Része" latest recordings from them published at the end of last year in digital form.. the whole thing should be out this autumn..

the other day while writing few words about Subversive Rite's new album I mentioned that I hope few copies will make it to Europe one day, totally without any high expectations, to be honest and just few days later, they appeared on always reliable Phobia Records from Czech R.. Mirek updates distro on almost a daily basis, and in this last week he get bunch of records from few US labels such as early mentioned Subversive Rite (only one copy still available, hurry, hurry up!), together with latest album by the same amazing Lifeless Dark, then new albums by legendary Japanese crust acts like Contrast Attitude or Frigora and some re-issues of top albums from Skitsystem and Dystopia and many, many more interesting stuff..

and last but not least, and to me maybe the most excited news, Nuclear Altar are in well known studio Depth on recording session.. can't fckn wait, although I'm little scared of recognizable Filip's studio production, which is great by the way, but I prefer that my favorite dis bands sound raw, dark and primitive.. anyhow, despite my wishes, they definitely deserve at least one proper studio record so I'm really looking forward to this one!..

next release on Sanctus Propaganda: Flower/State Manufactured Terror - split LP

hell yes, next release on Polish label Sanctus Propaganda will be split LP with mighty Flower and State Manufactured Terror!!.. both represented with recordings from live session in Dobra studio from last year when they were on euro tour.. it will be already 4th record under this project between Sanctus Propaganda and Dobra studio, on previous sessions they had Infekcja, KMKZ and Disaffect and all releases were benefit for some good cause.. anyhow, it's interesting project that deserves some support..

SUBVERSIVE RITE - Apocalypse Zone - new album is out now!!

I was blown away when I first time heard this band, since then they are more or less constantly on my playlist with awesome first album named "Songs For The End Times..." same as with demos and all the live videos spread out through wastelands of YT..

last two years I didn't hear/find anything about them, and few days ago I saw that new album is out, I was of course thrilled but then I read that this is their final offering and they aren't active anymore so all the enthusiasm kind of felt down but just until I pressed play button on bandcamp, then feeling was almost the same like first time I heard them, so as you see, a real rollercoaster for me, hehe..

this material was recorded two years ago, but it's released just now on Acute Noise Manufacture.. twelve songs of for my taste just perfect hardcore punk - raw, fast, political, urgent, angry and with Sacrilege like vocals, you know the ones which are constantly playing with your nerves, you hate it or like it, there's no middle here and I absolutely adore them.. the whole thing sounds like mix of 80s euro/UK inspired anarcho punk and more actual American noisy raw punk and for my taste this is absolutely brilliant combo.. the whole thing is wrapped in cover with interesting artwork made by a band member which also transmits this old school vibe and rounds this record nicely.. this is available on 12" vinyl and there are 150 limited copies on clear vax, hope at least some will make it to Europe one day and until them go blast it on BC or YT.. the regret remains that Subversive Rite aren't active anymore, but I'm happy they left this masterpiece of album in legacy!..

DISTRESS - Under Pressure Of Reality - CD is out now!!

hell yeah, new Distress, that's what I'm talking about!.. the other day I was asking myself and thinking what is with this fine lads, where are they and are they safe.. and not just them but all other Russian and Ukrainian diy underground bands as well, considering on catastrophically fckd up situation in this part of doomed eu-rope.. 

and few days ago, out of nowhere, I stumbled upon their new album, finally new stuff from one of the mightiest and most powerful machines I saw live, and I saw some shit..

even 13 new songs, including Asocial cover, in as expected classic Swedish influenced d-beat crust but with this brutal crust core power and aggression for which they have always been known for.. this time here are also some slower almost melodic guitar parts added here and there, mostly on the beginning or at the end of few songs just to make it more epic and atmospheric..

this is released on CD (almost forgotten medium if you ask me) from the side of Selfmadegod Records from Poland and is accompanied by amazing artwork in old school style by Steve of War.. he also did some lettering for inlay of this release so I believe the whole package looks interesting.. the whole record, both musically and visually kind of transmits this late 90s/early 00s crust/punk vibe and I like it!.. it's available from Selfmadegode Records store for 10€ or on bandcamp for free stream..

BARREN SOIL - All Paths Lead To Darkness - new EP is out!!

okay I'm little late, this is out from June, so already some 2-3 months, but I think it is worthy to mention.. Barren Soil is interesting band from Vancouver, Canada that caught my attention since their very beginnings, when they appeared around 2021 with s/t debut album, sticking one more black flag high into the already vivid stench core swamp..  

now, few years later they are here with their 2nd offering, this new EP which is (I think) self-released as a cassette.. 3 brand new songs in something heavier and more metallic crust sound than on debut release, the whole production here hits different and kind of reminds me on new Hellshock and I must admit that I liked them better on the above mentioned first release, as well as I'm bigger fan of older Hellshock's works.. but that doesn't mean this isn't good, at contrary, here we get another one solid dark stench crust gem.. tape is nicely wrapped up with great and already recognizable artwork by Wombat..

I don't know if it is still available, according to their bc page it is, but anyway probably impossible to get for us European suckers because expensive shipping costs so we must be happy with online stream and enjoy it in digital format only, so go find it on BC or YT..
